Diabetes-type one

In the diabetes type one, pancreas would stop the production of insulin due to the autoimmune response or the possibly viral attack on the pancreas. Absence of the insulin, adequate amount of glucose does not reach the body cells for the production of Adenosin Triphosphate (ATP) units that would result in the primary symptoms in the form of vomiting and nausea.

In the later stage, this would lead to the ketoacidosis, body would start breaking the muscle tissues of the body and the fats in order to produce energy which would cause weight loss. In the advanced stages, death and coma too could be witnessed.

Increased fatigue

Because of inefficiency of cells for metabolizing glucose, reserve the fats present in the body are metabolized in order to gain some energy. Polydipsia

With a concentration of increase in the glucose in blood, the brain receives a signal for diluting and the counteraction would be left behind feeling thirsty.

Polyphegia

Hormone insulin too is responsible for the stimulating hunger. For coping up with the high levels of sugar in the blood, the body would produce insulin that would lead to an increased hunger.

Polyuria

An increase in the production of the urine due to excessive glucose that is present in the body. The body tries to get rid of the excessive amounts of sugar present in the body by the way of excreting through the urine. This would lead to dehydration. Along with excretion of the sugar, a huge amount of water too is excreted from the body too.

Weight fluctuation

Various factors like loss of glucosuria, water, metabolism of protein and body fats leads to weight loss. In some cases, it might just show weight gain due to the increased rate of hunger.

Blurry vision

Hyperosmolar hyperglycemia nonketotic syndrome is a condition that affects the ability to focus. This results into a blurry vision.

Infections

Body gives out several signals whenever any fluctuation is there in the sugar levels of blood due to the suppression of the immune system by the frequent skin infection like bacterial, UTI or sugar.

Irritability

Irritability is sign of the high sugar level in the blood due to inefficient amounts of glucose supply to brain also other parts of the body that leaves behind one feeling uneasy and tired.

Poor wound healing

High levels of sugar in the blood resist flourishing of the white blood cells that are responsible for the body immune system. When the cells don’t perform their functions properly, healing of wound isn’t at pace. overlap with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.  But there are also symptoms that are specific to
each type of the disease.

Symptoms for type 1 diabetes can include:

*    An increased thirst that is not satisfied after drinking extra fluids
*    A frequent need to urinate (more than normal)
*    A dry or fuzzy feeling inside the mouth
*    Unexplained and sudden weight loss
*    Feeling light-headed, weak or dizzy

Many of these symptoms do not always mean diabetes is the problem they can also be
indicative of other medical problems.  It is a good idea to seek medical attention if any of

whereas symptoms for type 2 diabetes may develop gradually over time.

In young children who are experiencing any of the symptoms it may be hard to tell if they
are just having a bad day or are really sick.  Keep a close on them, especially if they are
younger and may not be able to articulate how they are feeling very well.  If you have even the slighest doubts, or suspect that you see the possible signs of diabetes it is better to
